I always heard two-door cars cost higher in insurance and this seems to be true but I am curious about what else can cause insurance to be more. What cars typically cost more insurance to cover and what about them means higher rates? Is it true that the color of the car can impact rates as well?

The older your car is, the more it will cost. Certain colors may or may not increase your quotes as well. Red and yellow typically have higher rates while white and black have lower rates. Anything that is sport or sport-like will usually cost you anywhere from 10% more to 35% more. Your age factors in as well. Insurence is more expensive for those under 25, and cheapest for those older than 45.
