The area i live in is mostly a sellers market and had some savings that i wanted to invest to buying a house so i was wondering if it is a good idea to buy one in such a place.

There are a few downsides when it comes to buying a house in an area that is considered a sellers market.

The most important downside to buying in a seller's market is the risk that you'll be overpaying for your home. Prices go up in a seller's market and buyers start bidding wars to land their favorite home. For example, if you buy a house in a seller's market, you could go upside-down on your loan
