Question Finishing a basement

I am mainly working on my house myself, looking to resell it down the road.

The issue I am running into is that I don't have much experience when it comes to finishing a basement so I am considering outsourcing for the process when it comes to certain things like rewiring and installing an egress window.

Does anyone know the average cost of each for a basement in the mid-west?

From my understanding and what I have been told, you are looking to spend around $8,000 to $10,000 to finish a basement on a budget but that does not include an egress window. Those prices in my area seem to be $3200 to over 10k but this depends on what you get installed.
