Does any home insurance cover what's inside?

Like furniture, your television, appliances, etc, are any of those covered via home insurance? In the case of a fire, or flooding, or any other out of control damages. Are they all covered in home insurance?

If you have something known as HO-3, then these kinds of items will be covered assuming they were damaged directly by something your insurance covers. The most common ones are:
